Degree in chemistry at the Technical University of Stuttgart, doctoral, postdoctoral fellowship in the USA at the institute of Nobel laureate (1994) Prof. George A. Olah (USC) for one year, then qualified and approved as a German Patent Attorney and authorized representative before the European Patent Office.

Member of the managing committee of the Federal Association of German Patent Attorneys (Bundesverband Deutscher Patentanwälte e.V.) until 2004, tutor for European Patent Right at the CEIPI in Strassburg until 2007. Internationally active lecturer for patent right issues.
