Intro

Andreas Gagidis advises national and international companies on all aspects of intellectual property – from the development of initial ideas to the filing and prosecution of applications, as well as the strategic enforcement and commercialization of IP rights.

His technical focus areas include information technology, telecommunications, medical technology, audio technology and acoustics, as well as automotive engineering. He has particular expertise in the protection of software-based inventions, for which he develops practice-oriented protection strategies that take both legal and economic requirements into account.

In addition, Andreas Gagidis has extensive experience in patent infringement and nullity proceedings, both before the German courts and the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

With a strong technical background and many years of experience in patent law, he supports his clients in effectively securing their innovations, defending them successfully, and positioning them sustainably in the market.

Engagement

Andreas Gagidis has been actively engaged in knowledge transfer in the field of intellectual property for many years. As an internationally sought-after speaker, he provides practice-oriented insights into the patenting of software-based inventions in Europe.

In addition, he supports the training of young legal professionals as a tutor in the working group of patent attorney candidates in North Rhine-Westphalia on behalf of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys.

Through the Inventors’ Advisory Service of the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Köln), he contributes his expertise to the promotion of technology-oriented founders and start-ups. He also works closely with Koelnmesse to advise companies on the legal protection of innovative products in the context of trade fairs.

His aim is not only to secure technological developments legally, but also to prepare companies strategically for the challenges and opportunities of an ever-evolving market environment.
